Varvet is a label and club night based in Berlin with a new take of what once was called Brighton techno. The project is managed by Cynthia Stern who used to run input - output inc and FlexiWave and is a big hommage to Cynthias home town Gothenburg.

Happy this one didn't slip under my radar. Traversing all facets of the new waves of overblown acid and electro and littered with hilariously strange samples, along with some great features from closely affiliated artists, this album has a bunch of hefty material. That Summer & Fat Pigeon are joint 2nd for me, but my personal 1st place has to go to the laidback chuggy acid goodness of Wounded Cowboy.
